Photographer Bagrad Badalian has a strong sense of the contrast between color and its absence, a focus which is expertly exemplified in this series of experimental photography. Badalian and makeup artist Orla McKeating removed the color from their subjects, then added color of their own with careful light painting. As the subjects move, bathed in the off-camera lighting, the camera is set in slow shutter to capture these abstract images. The result is a series of photographs which look brilliant on the walls of your local gallery or your own modern home.
