Conservationist and artist Daniel Beltra has captured a series of aerial images showing the after effects of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Each frame displays the beautiful colors of the sea as a result of the environmental devastation set upon by the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster. An unique perspective of scale is achieved through these images depicting the true expansiveness and massive size of this mishap.  A bold red rust color swirls and spreads through the water like an infectious disease while elements collide and fire erupts above the water in a thick cloud of flames and smoke.
