This renown industrial designer, famous for far too many product and furniture designs to count, has also tried his hand at erotic items....

The LEAOS e-bike is available in two iterations, the LEAOS Pure and the LEAOS White, two colorways that both feature the system’s MPF middle motor drive. That advanced motor and the internal battery pack can drive the LEAOS to as high as 28 mph, either as a pedal-assist or pure electric power. Its base model cruises beyond 15 mph, and both are fully street legal– although the 28 mph model may require a moped license in most areas....

Automotive designer Andrey Trofimchuk has developed what he feels should be Maserati’s first crossover utility vehicle. The Maserati Kuba CUV Concept would be a bold new direction for Maserati, but one that only continues its design heritage with the trident logo alone. Everything else on the Kuba is new to Maserati, from headlight to taillight. While we appreciate Trofimchuk’s vision, we have a feeling that the Kuba may end up in the same territory as the Pontiak Aztek– a love it or hate it car that inspires passionate opinions in both directions, but not satisfying Maserati’s core....

Italian artist CT has developed a fresh new style of graffiti in his home town of Torino. Foregoing the over-complicated and enigmatic patterns of the past, CT focuses instead on a simplified boldfaced approach to graffiti. His work is a play on bold fonts, straight angles and bubbly curves. To the passer by, CT’s graffiti may be confused with a company logo instead of an urban signature. These tangram-style bombs appear on walls throughout Torino and Europe as well, where CT has generated some worthwhile acclaim for his work....

The Nikon Df is retro in spirit. Its design pays homage to the professional-class compact cameras of the last century, the Nikon F3 and its predecessors. It features the metal dials, speckled body plating and angular “head” below the hot shoe that recall a simpler time in photography when every function was right there at your fingertips. The retro inspiration also recalls a time when cameras weren’t so bulky and overloaded with internal naughty bits....

This is shown in a lot more detail here, with an animation of the Wankel-style movement of the watch. The 12 numbered dials at the bottom form a half-circle, a 180-degree display that the movement passes along twice daily. A minute indicator spins above the hour indicator on the movement itself, and the result shows an accurate measure of time that is startlingly easy to read. Ultimately, it is the visual aesthetic of this watch that has us so spellbound....

Designer Kamihara Hideo has developed a new mobile phone concept inspired by the cross-cut grains of plywood. The PLY Mobile Phone Concept is a simple, stylish, slider-style mobile phone with the sectional wooden feel of layered plywood. PLY features hardware control built into the “grains” of the device, a range of cascading buttons that offer thumb-friendly control functionality. The business end of the phone is exposed with a simple slide, where the alpha-numeric keypad is hidden when at rest....
